Dr. Samels was born and raised in Shawano and is a 1988 graduate of the University of Wisconsin – Madison. Afterwards, Dr. Samels attended a four year Optometry Program at the Illinois College of Optometry in Chicago, Illinois. He has been practicing optometry since 1993 in Green Bay.
Dr. Samels is married and has two children and is a member of St. John the Baptist church in Howard.
Dr. Craig Keller joined Modern Eyes in May of 2019. He was raised in Green Bay and graduated from Ashwaubenon High School. After graduating from UW-Eau Claire, Dr. Keller went on to earn his Doctorate of Optometry from the Illinois College of Optometry in Chicago, IL. Prior to joining Modern Eyes, Dr. Keller practiced at Shopko in the Green Bay area for 8 years.
Dr. Keller practices primary care optometry including comprehensive eye exams, contact lens fittings, ocular disease management, and surgical co-management. He enjoys working with patients of all ages and strives to establish a lasting relationship with each patient.
Dr. Keller is an active member of Pilgrim Lutheran Church. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his wife and twin daughters, sports, and traveling.
Dr. Jolly will be joining Modern Eyes September of 2023. She was born and raised in Denmark, WI and graduated undergrad from Valparaiso University. Afterwards she completed her doctorate from Illinois College of Optometry. Prior to joining Modern Eyes, Dr. Jolly practiced at Tower Clock Eye Center and Howard Vision Clinic.
She welcomes patients of any age and specializes in pediatric, medical, dry eye, and routine vision care. It is her goal to make sure patients have all their questions answered and understand their condition. In her free time, Dr. Jolly enjoys spending time with her 2 young daughters and husband, gardening and golfing.
Dr. Katie Kyles was raised in Green Bay and graduated from Notre Dame de la Baie Academy. She attended St. Norbert College and earned her Doctorate of Optometry from the University of Missouri-St. Louis College of Optometry. Dr. Katie went on to complete a residency in Pediatrics / Vision Therapy and Rehabilitation at the University of Missouri-St. Louis. Dr. Katie’s special interests include amblyopia, strabismus, learning disabilities and traumatic brain injury. Dr. Katie is certified in orthokeratology and myopia management lens fitting.
In her free time, Dr. Katie enjoys traveling and crafting. She is very excited to be returning to the area and looks forward to caring for patients from birth onward.
